24 weeks

And man is that little girl of ours growing! (and the mommy too!) Here are the 20 week photos to compare! I have been so blessed with tons of maternity hand-me-downs, including that pair of Seven for all Mankind I am wearing;) I am so thankful for that, as this time, my due date is JUST different enough that I really was in need of more winter clothing than I had the first time around. And both of pair of my jeans were pretty worn out and one had a whole in the elastic band! New clothes were a big help!

As the baby is getting bigger, so is mommy. Just last night I had to remove my wedding ring! This is a LOT earlier this time around, but I think it is more because of my horrible cracked and sore hands. My knuckles are swollen more from the cracks and bleeding than pregnancy swelling. I also started having nose bleeds again. I still am having leg cramps and keep forgetting to pick up some Cal/Mag to see if that will help. And then, on both of the balls of my feet I have planter's warts! Doesn't a pregnant lady's feet go through enough when they are making a baby?:) I did not realize how uncomfortable they are and how they BURN even after you put your feet up. The baby is really moving a lot more and much more distinctive movement, and I just LOVE feeling our baby move around! Energy-wise I am doing great and overall feel good. (reading this and maybe it sounds worse than it is...really, I do feel good!!)

I did have someone ask me today, since she noticed I was really growing, if I was planning on having a 9 lb baby too, (someone we knew just delivered a 9lb-er) Apparently, I must look huge...did not exactly love that comment, but I will roll it off my shoulders! As I feel good and the baby is doing well, all I can ask for.

I think you look great! Sorry to hear about some of the uncomfortable pieces of pregnancy...it's amazing how quickly we forget about all of that once they are born. It's not until you are ready for the next one that it all comes flooding back!

Kelly, first of all you look great! I don't know what is wrong with people that they think they need to comment on a pregnant woman's size - don't listen to them. In fact do us all a favor and just reply - "my, that was rude"

second I feel so bad for you that your hands are in so much pain and that your feet hurt too. Please please take care of yourself. Get a dermatologist to freeze those warts off for you - you will feel so much better. The Cal/mag really works - don't you have a supplements or something. Make it Eddy's job to pick some up for you on his way home form work. I know I have already given you way more advice than your bargained for but I am on a roll now so I am just going to add that the skin on your hands will probably do a lot better if you stop using petroleum products on them. i.e. read the ingredient labels on all your soaps and lotions and only use stuff made with vegetable based oils. Also California baby makes a great cream for cracked skin and excema. It's made with natural ingredients and you can find it at Target among other places.

it's also great for when you have a cold and get a chapped nose from blowing it so much.

hope you feel better soon!

First off a resounding Happy Birthday! Hope you have a lovely day filled with lots of sitting :)
I'm sorry to hear this procedure has the potential to be a pill but look at how well you have handled everything so far and all the ways you help her understand and cope, you are more than equipped with prayer and patience to handle this experience, remember you can do all things through christ who strengthens you, see you soon, Erika

Hi Kell!
You look beautiful! I love the Valentine pic's of Lacey, too cute!
On a random note, I saw that you posted about having planters warts on your feet and I wanted to tell you to try Tea Tree oil. I've had them before and know how uncomfortable they can be. Tea Tree oil was the only thing that worked for me and it doesn't hurt at all; you just put it on a Q-tip and then rub it on the wart. They go away pretty quickly too, which is always a good thing!! You can find it in the grocery store on the herb and vitamin isle. Good luck!
I'll be thinking about you and your darling little girl, hoping that her tests go smoothly and pain free. Take Care, Jena
