Ashley is 6 months!

Ashley saying her classic "ah"

Well, really, Ashley will already be SEVEN months on the 8th. However, I need to post her 6 months photos and document this little monkey at this stage. Attempting to take these photos was quite hilarious with this wiggle worm! She was ALL over the place, so I could hardly get a photo in focus! However, that's my girl and with the slight fuzz, it's like she put her "stamp' on the photo:) "try and get me momma!" So, I will take the slightly blurry photos and remember my baby girl at this stage.

Ashley has been very consistent since birth, easy going, good sleeper, happy, and LOUD:) Ashley leaves us with ringing ears all the time as she squeals(really screams) with delight. This is my favorite baby stage. At six months they are still SO baby looking, on a schedule(WAHOOOOOO!!!), and so interactive.

Ashley is now on a mostly predictable schedule, she's human, not a robot, so it's not set in stone, but almost everyday I can count on her waking around 7-8am, then down for her morning nap about 2 hours later and she usually sleeps for at least an hour spanning to 2 hours. Then, being the second child, she often does not get down for her second nap RIGHT when she needs to, but about 2.5-3 hours later she is down for a longer nap, which is usually closer to 2 hours. Then she's down for the night and 6:30-7pm, depending on her naps or the day we had. And, her early a.m. feed is almost gone. If she wakes at 5:30 or 6, I will nurse her quickly and she catches a little more sleep until 8, otherwise it's 7 or 7:30. Occasionally, she will wake during the night and either fuss a little or just squeal, but goes back to sleep unassisted. I do go in at night before I go to bed and put one more blanket over her and sometimes she wakes and gives me a HUGE grin and will wiggle with excitement. I am always so amazed that after all that, she has not even ONCE made a peep when I leave the room. She just goes back to sleep happily and silently.

Ashley is just a crack up. I think she is the best baby to give a toy to. Almost every time she tenses up and gives you the BIGGEST smile as she REACHES for the toy, like you just gave her the most amazing toy she's ever wanted. When really, she already used it all day long:) She is really starting mimicking, hence the video in the previous post. If you have not seen it, check it out. I also need to show off her 'baby dance' that she does on que-adorable and hilarious all wrapped into one. Ashley loves to pant(like a dog) and say "AH" and you can have a great conversation of "Ah" if you say it to her and go back and forth over and over. She is making all sorts of squeals and shrieks, but no real babbling as of yet. She is not sitting steady by herself. Instead, she loves to THROW herself backwards at lighten speed, especially if we practice on the bed. Forget sitting when you can fly like a rocket backward right?:) She is a rolling maniac and will roll over and over to get a toy. So, I already have to keep our floor clear of Lacy's tiny toys and other miscellaneous stuff. She is a GO-GETTER, so I am sure the next 6 months are not going to be dull;)

Ashley's enjoying solids! She has been super easy to feed so far. At this point, Ashley has solids at breakfast and dinner. She enjoys her rice cereal, sweet potatoes, carrots, bananas, applesauce, but pears are definitely her favorite. Ashley really enjoys the baby-safe feeders(you know the nets you put food in and they just suck out the juice of the food) and pears and teething biscuits are her favorite in those.

I will leave you with this. Yesterday, I gave Ashley a toy phone and then turned around to do the dishes. I turn back around and look where the phone ended up!!

Tell me that is not hilarious? :) And really...Christmas photos coming next! That one is so time consuming with all the additional short videos to go along with everything!

She is so cute!!! It always amazes me how God makes them all their own little people. You love them all the same, just all are so endearing in their own little ways. What a beautiful little girl! :)
