Brothers

These two cuties are our next door neighbors. First, I will say that we love them SO much! Then, seriously how cute are they?! We were planning on hitting my usually spot for kiddo portraits, when we hit a bump in the road. The sprinklers were malfunctioning and they would not be fixed for possibly hours. Man, am I SO glad that happened! Much better location. If you are local, we took these at the Apple Valley Country Store. If you are ever in town, definitely check them out and you must NOT leave without buying one of their amazing pies. Seriously, it is a MUST. And, these boys were SUPER fun to photograph. Well...just look, you'll see why! I am booking sessions now, so if interested drop a comment here with your email, or email if you already have it and I will fill you in on pricing.

First official paycheck!

Exciting day for me...I received my first paycheck for taking photos! I just wanted to take a moment and document this:) We'll see if this 'getting paid' for taking photos turns out to be more of a regular and professional thing, but none-the-less, I am so excited for each little step forward I am taking in this photography journey. This unforgettable check is for second shooting with our friends and fantastic photographers on a recent wedding. I am hoping to post which photos they used of mine and maybe just some more of mine after I check with Brenda. So, yay for this momma and HER milestone reached today!

Summer Portraits

Well, fall is right around the corner and I did not get all my summer portraits in, but we'll get there...I hope! Adjusting from completely a stay-at-home mom to juggling a hobby is something I am still tweaking, but I LOVE this. Here is a hand full from the summer sessions so far. And most of these, i think I was really quite crazy attempting to have a photo shoot while still a novice at my new camera. I definitely missed a lot fumbling around, but it forced me to learn...and quick! :) I had the opportunity to be a second shooter for a wedding for the first time a couple weekends ago with friends who are photographers. WOW. I have lots to learn, but man, I am sure enjoying the journey!

I have  lot scheduled in the next few weeks, should be interesting!
