I mean really, wasn't she just a baby the other day? Ok, maybe be not, but there's no denying it's here. The big first day of preschool!! Let me just say, I am THRILLED with her school. I can't speak highly enough of her teacher Angela(and the sweet assistant as well!) and the facility is fantastic. Day one is case and point why it's awesome. They headed outside to the giant playground, when it started to, ack, RAIN. No problem, they just head back inside to the gym, where they have a giant play structure IN THE GYM! Then, the kids can ride bikes around the perimeter of the structure.
Here is Lacy with teacher Angela. Can you tell how much she likes her and how comfortable she is with her? :) Eddy has been swamped with work(yeah, I know, BIG surprise, huh:) and he was unable to make the open house and I was so excited he was able to come and see Lacy off on her first day and meet Angela.
So, Eddy and I stayed for just a couple minutes and then, out the door we went! Lacy has NEVER had separation anxiety and today wasn't any different.
I LOVE getting the chance to peek in on Lacy whenever she is in church or ballet and they don't know you are watching. So fun to observe how they are. Teacher Angela let the parents sneak in the back while they were finishing their group time. She was watching and following the assistant Amanda and eventually she spotted me. When were were on the way home, Lacy told me,
"Mom, I think teacher Angela should come pick me up and take me back to preschool."
I guess that means she likes it:) Lacy greeted me with a bracelet that she made and said it was for me(yes, i am sporting it now), she LOVES to give, precious. I asked her what her favorite part of preschool was...snack! Haha, that was not a surprise either. Lacy told me she tried pouring her drink, but spilled. Then said, "It's ok, teacher Angela helped clean it up." Another bonus is Lacy has five of her friends from my mommy group in class with her! One mom invited us all over after drop off to relish in the day and celebrate the big occasion. All-in-all great day!

Yeah ! So glad it went well. Looks a beautiful room to learn and play in. Have fun Lacy!
Her face after she spotted you cracks me up! How great that you have a mommy support group to celebrate (and cry) with! You will do it all over again for the 1st day of kindergarten...I set out a box of tissue for my kindergarten parents. :-)
