Lacy recently learned when you draw a heart, it can substitute the word 'love'. So, at lunch Lacy tells me...

"Mom, I love you LOTS and LOTS of hearts." (while drawing them in the air)

We made it home

Thank you all for your prayers and support! We arrived home Monday night, safe and sound. Arlen did have quadruple bypass surgery while we were in Montana and is home beginning his long recovery. He is not able to even have visitors for a week. Just talking wears him out. Definitely a long recovery. We were so thankful we were able to be there with him and the family.

I can't wait to update this blog, as I have posts dating back to April! We do not having anything major on the calendar for a while, so hopefully all those posts will get done. For now, here is a photo of Lacy being one big, completely messy goof in my parents backyard. That gem of a dog is her boxer buddy, Niki. My mom was dog sitting for the family she nannies. Lacy LOVES Niki, and the feeling is mutual. 

Please Pray for Eddy's Dad...

Eddy's dad is going in for quintuple bypass surgery on Thursday morning. Please pray for Arlen, the doctors, and family for us!!

Lacy's First Ballet Recital!

Oh man, this did NOT disappoint. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. It was the perfect way to end such a fantastic first year of ballet. I am sad that this class can't continue on together-great girls and great parents. However, we will have teacher Nancy again next year! I think she is genius for going on stage with the 3/4yr olds during their performances. They can do so much more during a performance with a little help and direction from their teacher! 


I want to add a HUGE thanks to my parents, brother, and Maria for coming and watching Lacy dance in her "big recital". It meant the world to her that the people she loves SO dearly  came to watch! Thanks Cory for taking off work and Maria for dashing across the bridge after Gabe's t-ball game! And mom...for helping every waking second the entire weekend! What a blessed little girl.

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY ASHLEY!

The day has finally arrived. My sweet baby was born one year ago today. Really, I am at a loss for words, so overcome with emotion. Ashley's big bday bash was cancelled due to rain(and man did it rain), but we still had a small indoor party with some family and friends to celebrate over the weekend. I am nearing completion of a slideshow of Ashley's first year in photos, but it is in the mix of a couple projects all going on at the same time. Hopefully by next week it will get posted. I'll save old photo viewing for the slideshow. SO, for today, the BIG birthday, here is Miss Ashley in her special birthday shirt! And one more photo, just for fun:)

Ashley's hair had a party that night. The honeymoon for perfect hair after her hair cut is now over.
